Bio
Hello! I’m Sarah.
I am a technical user researcher: I build, prototype, study, and test interactive systems end-to-end. I enjoy working hands-on with engineering problems while grounding design decisions in real user needs and lived experiences.
My interests sit at the intersection of tangible interfaces and socially informed interaction design.
I’m currently pursuing an MSc at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC, where I work in Tangent Lab under the supervision of Dr. Lawrence Kim. At Tangent Lab, my work explores tangible user interfaces through embodied and robotic interaction, tangible sound, and haptic systems.
Outside of research, I spend my time running, planning events, springboard diving, sewing, making electronic music, cooking, and reading.
